Urwald Zofin – Hardegg (173 km)

From the primeval forest Zofin crossing the Czech-Austrian border up to the peak of the Nebelstein mountain and along the Thaya-valley-trail to the national park centre in the city of Hardegg

The trail Nordwaldkammweg finishes at the Nebelstein mountain. From this mountain the European primeval forest route follows the Lower Austrian Thaya valley trail. Across the natural park Blockheide, a landscape of perched rocks, you hike to the city of Gmünd and to the Thaya river. The forest route leads along the Thaya river across the national park Podyi in the Czech republic and the Thayatal national park in Austria up to the national park centre in the city of Hardegg.
