From the March floodplain across the Little Carpathians along the European primeval forest trail to Brezova pod Bradlom
From Hohenau on the March river you cross the Austrian - Slovakian border and afterwards the extensive military training ground Vojensky obvod Zahorie, from there you go up to the Zaruby top (768 m) the highest peak of the Little Carpathians. Near the top Zaruby you meet the European long distance trail E8. The primeval forest route followst he E8 till Brezova pod Bradlom at the nothern end oft he Little Carpathians. Sometimes the crossing of the military ground is forbidden, in this case you can reach Brezova pod Bradlom along an alternative hike path.
