Mishhirja – Uholka-Schyrokyj Luh – Ust Tschorna (88 km)

From Mishhirja across the national park Synevir, to the virgin forests of Uholka and to Ust Tschorna (Königsfeld)

Starting in the little town Mishhirja you hike, crossing a mountain range, eastwards to the village Synevir, place of the administration of the national park Synevir. The hiking route passes the museum of timber and the historic logging dam at the Tereblia river. From the village Kolochava you climb up to the mountain range Krasna. Via the summits of the mountain range you arrive the villages Deutsch-Mokra and Königsfeld. These villages were founded by Protestant emigrants out of the Austrian region Salzkammergut. At the beginning of the ascent to the summit Topas (1.548 m) you turn to the area of virgin beech forests Uholka-Schyrokyj Luh (especially copper beeches). This area belongs to the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve and to the UNESCO world heritage of nature.
